I began writing stories when I was a little girl - because I loved stories and needed the refuge they provided. As I grew older, I wrote to correct injustice, celebrate women and save a natural world that was being destroyed.
Now, I also write out of a need to explore - and connect with people and memories and, most of all, the land itself. I have walked and written throughout the Northeast and Southwest and know these lands even more than I know myself.
